Difficulty level



Difficult treks involve you walking for at least 6-8 hours or more each day. You can expect to cross steep hilly terrain and occasional high passes with daily ascends and descends of around 500-1000m. These trails take you to remote environments with high altitude and extreme weather likely. Only basic facilities are available on some nights. Previous trekking experience, physical fitness and positive attitude are therefore essential.

Day 1

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel, welcome dinner, overnight Hotel.

Day 2

Half day sightseeing in Kathmandu, preparation day, overnight Hotel.

Day 3

Fly to Nepalgunj, overnight teahouse.

Day 4

Fly to Juphal and trek to Dunai, 3 hours, overnight teahouse.

Day 5

Trek to Tarakot (2931m), 6-7 hours,overnight teahouse.

Day 6

Trek to Mushikhola, 6-7 hours, overnight teahouse.

Day 7

Trek to Kakkotgaon, 6-7 hours, overnight teahouse.

Day 8

Trek to Pimring Village, 6-7 hours,overnight teahouse.

Day 9

Pimring Muktogaon, 6-7 hours, overnight teahouse.

Day 10

Trek to Yakkharka (4000m), 6-7 hours,overnight teahouse.

Day 11

Trek to Mulung Sumda, 6-7 hours, overnight teahouse.

Trek to Niwar Highcamp (5000m) and back to Yakkharka (4000m), 6-7 hours, overnight teahouse.

Day 13

Trek to Ghaldang Ghuldung (4247m) via Niwar high camp, Niwar Pass (5120m) and Jugbenla Pass (5880m), 7 hours, overnight teahouse.

Trek to Sangta (3710m), 6-7 hours, overnight teahouse.

Day 15

Trek to Phalek village (3690m), 6-7 hours,overnight teahouse.

Fly Jomsom to Pokhara, overnight Hotel , Pokhara.
