These treks typically require you to do 6-7 hours each day over steep hilly terrain on usually rough trails but with no real extremes of weather. Treks in this category can include trekking to elevations of up to 5500m with daily ascends of around 400-700m.When trekking at higher altitudes, your body needs to adjust to lower levels of oxygen and this provides added physical challenge to the trek. It is important to be physically fit and to prepare your body by doing regular exercise prior to embarking on your trek. Previous hiking or camping experience is preferable.
